Wk6 R2 Fail!!

Really gutted. 7 min in to the first 10 min run I had a stabbing pain in the outer side of my hip and couldn’t complete the run. 24hrs later it is still painful. Did everything I should have done - stretches, hydration, and actually did a warm up walk of 15 mins! Has this happened to anyone else? Any idea what it is and how long it takes to get back on to it. Don’t want to have got so far and be back at square one. Feeling deflated!

Oh bless you. What a shame. I don't know what it could be, others in this group might be able to advise you. But don't give up. Recuperate and get back out there

Definitely not a failure, your body has just told you it needs a rest is all, heel up and go again 😊

I felt the same as you when my ankle gave out three weeks ago. I had no choice but to rest up as I could barely walk on it at the time. I found I lost very little fitness in the three weeks I didn’t run and came back doing W9R1 fairly easily. Try to keep positive as I believe that a positive mentality Is every bit as important as physical fitness. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
