That’s the second one in the bag this week as of earlier tonight. Someone mentioned in another post about drinking plenty of water, so I worked my way through my water flask 3 times during the day and it did the trick, didn’t seem to have as many aches and pains.

It's surprising how many people neglect this including me sometimes, I find I run much better when I am properly hydrated :-)

Nice one. Hydration makes a much bigger difference than we imagine before we start running. Keep drinking on rest days too, it can take a few days to become optimally hydrated. Have fun closing week 4 out.

This is really helpful, thank you. I'll try that today and see if it makes a difference, it's my knees that really ache.

I have a dodgy knee, I use a knee brace, cost me a few quid off eBay, works a treat 😊

I've just done wk4 run2 aswell. I was dreading it coz found run1 hard but I was finding my stride a bit better and breathing coordinated today. I'm so pleased with myself and you should be also. Looking forward to seeing your ongoing progress. We can do this.

Well done! Yes, being hydrated, having a decent sleep the night before all goes to help in having a good run.

Remember to slow it right down if you begin to get too out of puff, it also makes it more gentle for your joints.

I have dodgy knees and strap them with 2 layers of compression sleeves when I run, but have been following some youtube videos on knee strengthening that is beginning to get good results.

Remember to warm-up-walk at the start and stretch at the end, to keep the soreness in check.

Keep going!! :) :)
