I was dreading running for 20 minutes, set off at an average pace and found the first 10 mins a breeze. Hit a wall at around 12-13 minutes as I got a stitch (I never get a stitch....) and my head was telling me that my body had had enough. I powered through to the 15 minute mark and got a gee-up off Michael!
The last few minutes were the longest minutes of my entire life waiting for him to say “well done” so that I could stop.....but, I did it!
Feel so good right now....can’t wait for the remaining 3 weeks.

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾 😊
It's all to do with the high of run 3 of week 5, 20 minutes non stop running and run 1 of week 6 is back to interval walks and runs, you will be 🆗 with R1W6 as long as you take it slowly, good luck.
I did week 5 run 3 today too! Was similarly nervous and really didn't think I could do it but just kept going and suddenly it was done! Well done to us and onwards and upwards now! 🏃♀️🎉
How did you get on today? Considering it is meant to catch a lot of people out, I found it quite refreshing. I can also see why it builds up stamina as the last 5 mins really pulled the calves.....
Yeah not too bad! I definitely went too fast in the first 5 minutes but steadied out a bit after that and it wasn't too bad at all. Though also not as easy I thought it would after 20 mins non stop! Yeah my calves are struggling a bit too, trying to stretch them out a bit before I go which is helping a little bit!
The physical fitness is already there, it’s not that big a jump from the last 2 runs, but mentally, it’s a whole new ball game. Good luck, let me know how you get on!
Hi marv123, did my W55R3 this morning and just kept it reaaally slow. Got through it with no problem. Good luck with yours! We’ll have to brace ourselves and not get caught out on W6R1....even though it’s intervals, it catches a lot out! 😉
