Sorry to hear this. For week 4, i left two days in between each run as the demands change. Am currently on week 6 run 2 and back to running every other day...... i go with how I feel ! Hope this helps π
Interestingly, i alternate shoes with my runs.....my sister has fibromyalgia and Iβve worked with her alot ( im a massage therapist and Pilates Teacher ) try some really gentle stretches which will ease inflammation and tension and take it really gently and slowly !! Letβs know how you get on ....ππΌ
All the time! And it is usually because of aches and pains from over doing it. I now do 10 mins of yoga stretches before a run and that helps. Just keep going!
I always stretch beforehand as I'm very aware of my fibromyalgia affecting me. It's bound to happen due to my age, being overweight and medical issues. If I have to take more than a days rest occasionally then I'll have to just sick it up. It's not gonna stop me ππͺ
Yes, I was just pointing out to Chattycatt that pre run stretching should not be static, but dynamic, as there is a suggested link with injury doing static stretches pre run.
Your attitude is brilliant and will get you through the tough times.
Now I am confused! Static and dynamic? You have lost me there - You will need to explain! The stretches I do before the run are on YouTube with Adrienne - a specific pre -run workout. Like a lot of people who have done C25K we are not athletes and just go with the flow, I am really enjoying the running and donβt want to get injured. But it seems like our bodies are so fragile and tempermental, that we could be doing the wrong thing when we think we are getting it right!
Yes Iβve taken an extra day of rest sometimes, itβs nothing to feel bad about just go with what your body needs, as long as you keep on with the programme youβll do great
