Hot off the press, I just finished reading this one! It is basically an autobiography (of sorts) of US ultrarunner Scott Jurek. Part life story, part vegan recipe book, with some good running tips thrown in for good measure.
Now, I am not a vegan, nor do I run ultras, but I found this a very interesting and entertaining read nonetheless. He does speak quite a lot about the mental aspect of running (as this comes into play even more when running ultras). I am very interested in the mental side of running, so fascinated by ultrarunners and what they put themselves through!
I hope that you are all doing well and enjoying your running. For me, it offers a moment of peace in very troubling times, and I couldn't be more grateful for having done C25K almost 3 years ago.

It is a good read David_G . He doesn't bang on too much about veganism, but he does note how much better he performed as a runner once he did move over to the vegan diet. Interesting indeed!
Oh I hope you like it! It’s tough recommending books - I love doing it, but of course tastes differ so I won’t always get it right! Fairly confident most folk will find something interesting in this one though. 👍
I am sure I will Sadie, these type of books are very motivational while running. Another one is "Can't Hurt Me" by David Goggins, slightly different but good running listening all the same ☺
Oh I’ve been wanting to read this. I am reading “North” by Scott and Jenny Jurek now and it is so good. It is an account of his attempt at the Appalachian Trail FKT.
