...The Pants of Perspective by Anna McNuff.
I love reading, so when I got into running, the next natural step was to read as many running books as I could get my hands on! I have read some instructional books, but mostly delve into memoirs. I find it keeps me motivated me and inspires me. I have lots of good ones to recommend, so will add some more each Friday, along with other recommendations!
I loved The Pants of Perspective SO MUCH. It is Anna McNuff's story of how she ran the length of New Zealand. It took her 148 days, and she ran an average of 52km per day. All that with no support and carrying all her own supplies. It is an awe-inspiring, and at times, very funny read. Now, this is not something that I aspire to do! But, it was so well written, and such an uplifting read, I think anyone, whatever your aspirations, would enjoy this book. Anna is a truly adventurous woman (she also ran the equivalent of 90 marathons, back to back, barefoot across Britain!)
For me, every run, however short, is an adventure! Happy running, everyone.
