Week 4 worries

Feeling great having finished Week 3 yesterday. The less I thought about it in the hours leading up to it, the better I seemed to do. I also stopped carrying with me my huge 1L water bottle (I know, I know, ridiculous), which made things more manageable.

Having said that, Week 4 looks like a big jump and I’m feeling anxious about running it tomorrow. Does anybody have any advice on the transition between Week 3 to 4 or just has any general comments to make about how they coped?

Thanks so much!

One litre water bottle would not be a good idea at all, congratulations on completing week 3 of C25K, take the longer runs of week 4 and beyond slowly, that way you will find running easier especially if you don't have that 1L of water 💦 with you. 😊 🏃🏾

Thank you!

Week 1 prepared you for 2

Week 2 prepared you for 3

Week 3 prepared you for 4

You answered your own question really, don't over think it and have faith in the programme and in yourself. Loads of us have done this despite self doubt, Keep hydrated all of the time and you wont need to take the water tank with you. You'll be fine :)

It took me about 5 runs to master week 4 but I'm glad I stayed with it until I could complete it comfortably as it made week 5 so much easier. Dont be so hard on yourself and take it at your own pace.

I was worried about the jump too but once I’d upped my walking speed the longer runs weren’t as challenging as I’d feared. I think week 4 has been my favourite week, run 3 tonight then on to week 5 😱 Good luck with week 4 x

Make sure you don’t start to fast. Slow right down at the first run. Also make sure you are well hydrated and before you know it you’ll hear 1 minute to go. I’m doing W4R3 today. Looks like it’s still dry but not sure how W5 will do in the rain but I’ll give it a go.
