I'm a 44 year old mum and am back on C25K. I got to about week 5 last summer but then I stopped as my mum passed away in October. I'm back now and 4 weeks in !! I really struggled with my first run of week 4 yesterday and so a bit disappointed. I was so slow too but at the same time proud for getting out there. I so love running... having said that, it's a kind of love / hate thing. Hate the thought but love the feeling of pushing myself and that buzz of getting through a run. I'm sure I found it easier at the week 4 point last year though. Hey ho, just a single bad run I guess... I suppose we all get them. Any advice though?

That's maybe what's holding you back, thoughts, a lot of it is. Maybe go back more on the runs.. you have no pain, so push on through! remember, slow and steady..😊
I've just completed week 5, but must admit week four has been my toughest week so far. The program seems to step it up in a big way in week four!
We all have bad runs, and the best we get from them is the learning.... how to mentally keep going, getting out there when you don’t want to etc etc it all helps give you longevity as a runner. Well done, and I’m sure the next one will be better. Relax, take it steady and take it one run at a time.
