Week 2 run 1

I did the first run of week 2 yesterday and I really enjoyed it. I watched the you tube video of the Japanese slow running method. I found that it really helped me. The first 2 runs of week 1 were difficult but I think that I started off too quickly. Using the slow run method I found that the runs were a lot easier and I didn't get so breathless. I would highly recommend that technique for everyone to begin with as it certainly worked for me. Looking forward to my next run tomorrow.

My work colleague is a keen runner and is now following me on Strava so there is nowhere for me to hide. Knowing that she is spying on me is keeping me motivated even though we are not able to run together due to social distancing. She wants to run my first 5k with me so that is giving me an incentive to complete the course.

I would love to run again today as I feel great after yesterday but I am sticking strictly to the programme so it is yoga practice today.

Good luck to everyone

Emma
