Another run done, 1 to go!!! Had a bad back the last 2 days and wasn't sure how this would go, so I'm really pleased I did it and my back feels ok π€. It was a really lovely peaceful run too. Feeling very pleased with myself π€π
W9R2: Another run done, 1 to go!!! Had a bad... - Couch to 5K
W9R2
Hi Sarah I did the same run today as well ,well done and hope your graduation run is a good one
Brilliant- way to go . Iβm sure you will be eager to start and complete W9R3 enjoy it for the success it brings you whether non-stop 30 minutes or 5K. I focused on achieving the 5K which took me 41 minutes . I was thrilled knowing I could enter a Local 5K Parkrun ( when lockdown is over). Enjoy your next run and congratulations in advance πΎ
Well done on your run Sarah2706 run when in pain and still got out to run πππ one more run for your graduation π badge awesome but you feeling chuffed keep it going stay safe happy running πββοΈ π
Well done and some Sarah, you dug down deep and got the run doneπ and with a sore back..... Just the one and then you're home and dry congrats ππ
Thank you, I'd be gutted if an injury stopped me this close to graduating.
It would've been you've come so far π what's your after graduation running plan?
I think I'm going to get a few more 30 minute runs under my belt so they feel more comfortable then add time to one run a week after that. I'm nearly at 4.5k in 30 minutes so I don't think it will take long to get to 5k. To be honest I've tried not to worry too much about distance and just focus on enjoying it. I would like to get to 5k but I'm just chuffed I can run for 30 minutes.
That's a cool outlook, that 5k will come, my local park run shows a distance of just under 5k so distance π does it matter?? Nope not a jot! If you're enjoying something that's got to be worth it in every aspect!!
That's what I figure. 2 months ago I couldn't run at all and now I'm actually enjoying running for 30 minutes, so I don't want to put any pressure on it and stop enjoying it. I'll get faster and cover more distance in time I'm sure and if I don't I'm still up and off the couch and doing something.
Brilliant if you don't use strava maybe take a look and install the app..... It'll let you chart your progress, you can look back at routes you've ran etc and compare runs, I know it may be an age thing π΄ ( this you'll find after the big shsssss 5οΈβ£0οΈβ£ π¬) I sometimes cannot remember a route I've ran quite recently whoops
Yes I have Strava. My husband has been running for years, he does a lot of triathlons etc, so I'm quite lucky because he has 5k/10k etc routes already planned out and convinced me to use Strava. I can't go running with him, I think he would struggle to go as slow as me π€£
That's s bonus π. Finding new routes for me was always an issue, as I'd leave myself too far away from home when I was finishing π.
I definitely could never triathlon, of drown on the swim π
Sarah,
Have you tried podcast music . The beat varies .
Iβm a plodder so 148 beats per minute ( I think it is) work for me . Link podcasts.apple.com/gb/podca...
You can try them out , different beats and download for free . Thereβs many other music podcast for runners . Iβm sure your find one you like . For some ( like me) STRAVA can also help,
I like it because it informs me every .5 K of my pace and time .
Just thought . All the best for R 3 . πΎ
Well done for coping with a sore back on this run. Final run coming up and itβs graduation π! Enjoy it π
Well done, Sara2706. So glad your back feels ok too.
