Thanks very much Pete1212, I was trying to keep the splits fairly even and consistent.
Happy running π
That is how we roll my man! Well done. You should be well chuffed tonight. The times a PB come are not that often so celebrate this. You are building strength, stamina and speed and it's all coming together. Great splits there too. Well done buddy. Awesome! Splits 3-7 are beautifully paced too and the others are similar. Great run πΎπΎπΎ
Thanks very much. GTFC, Iβm not an experienced runner as you know and this distance especially is all new to me. I was trying to have an easy ish and consistent pace. Iβm sort of experimenting really, and itβs all a big learning curve and adventure.
Not sure if Iβll celebrate tonight , my arm might be twisted though to have one beer πΊ.
Thanks again and happy running πββοΈ to you π
One is almost mandatory! The idea over time is to have negative splits so that you start slower and build up as the race goes on. Your first km will be the slowest generally and then in the second half you pick it up a little. I struggle with this though. The Run Experience (US) and The Running Channel (UK) are great to watch on YouTube.
Ah ok, thatβs interesting .... makes sense though I guess. Iβll need to do a lot of work to get negative splits but I like trying new things to improve.
Iβll have a look at those things you suggested on YouTube.
