Walk and run?

Good morning fellow runners. I wondered if you could advise me. Now that we are in lockdown for another three weeks, I thought I heard somewhere that we can go out to exercise more than once a day. So, does that mean I can walk my dog in the morning then run in the evening?

I run with my dog Charlie's mum he did the couch to 5k with me so you could do that but yes I think you can go out twice provided you socially distance x

That is clearly acceptable according to the guidelines, however different police forces are interpreting the guidance differently.

This would depend on where you live... in Wales going out for two or more exercise sessions a day is illegal... guidance from the police yesterday says that it’s acceptable in England. I’m not sure of the legality of such behaviour in Scotland and Northern Ireland, or indeed any other parts of the world. Laws around health, and so also lockdown, are devolved in the UK.

Thank you all for your help. We live in a pretty quiet area in the South of England, so I think I'll give it a go. Happy running and stay safe x
