Thanks Oldgirl - run/walk

Hi Oldgirl,

After your post about run/walk timings the other day, I tried your 60secs/30secs ratio this morning instead of my normal 2 mins/1min. Although it felt a bit strange to get used to at first, I have just recorded my third fastest 5k time - and that includes those where I have run all the way!

I don't know why it should make a difference given that the proportion of running and walking is the same. Perhaps it was just a good run this morning?

I will try it again later this week to see whether it was just a flash in the pan. Thanks for the suggestion - it's always good to mix it up a bit!

DO you think it may work on hills? I usually do 1 minute run and 2:30 walk when the hill is steep - but sometimes I have to walk all the way....!

Oooh thanks , Im going to try this and see which one I prefer ! :-) xxx

I always found the run/walk times very comparable with just running , although I tended to use it as interval training and ran at a faster pace than if I was running all the way :D
