Well first the serious bit... Week 5 Run 2, that felt hard! So my next run is the big jump, not sure how I’ll manage but everyone says we’re prepared for it so I’ll give myself a mental talking to and I’m sure I’ll succeed!
Anyway I was running along tonight and people came out to clap for the carers so I clapped along, then came the walking break and a stretch with no houses, I’d just started running again for the 2nd 8 mins when I rounded a corner onto a lovely little street...people were at the end of their drives just having a catch up chat after their clapping ... they saw me puffing along and next thing I knew they were clapping me 😱 calling ‘keep going luv’! Thank goodness I’d just started the 2nd 8 mins, just imagine if Michael had just told me to slow down to a walk I’d have been mortified and would have had to keep running even if it killed me 😂

Great job... I, and many others, round run 2 harder than run 3... IannodaTruffe’s link there will help a lot... read, believe, relax and run... you can do it.
This just made me giggle because it’s exactly what I would’ve been thinking 😂 Well done for getting to where you have. I’m on week 6 so just last week I was thinking the same as you about the last run of week 5, I really wasn’t sure I could do it but with all the great advice from everyone on here (and the knowledge that I could always repeat the run if necessary), I got my head around it and gave it a go. I managed it and was really pleased with myself. It wasn’t anywhere near as hard as I’d anticipated and I actually really enjoyed it! Just be sure to pace yourself, at least for the first half. I felt I could really pick up my pace in the second half but just listen to your body. You can do it!
Thank you! It’s the first half I’m worried about tbh...or more the transition (not that there actually is a transition) I always feel better in the second half of my workout but it’s like I struggle in the beginning then wait for the walk to ‘reset’ and I know I’ll be ok after do I just need to mentally get over that hump 🤞
