Run two Tick!

So tackled run two yesterday and actually dare I say, it felt a little easier... Concentrating on my breathing and trying to regulate it, helped. Took my mind off the running! My pup helps too, seeing her little legs skip along (she’s part sausage dog!) is very funny! Thankyou for the support so far! This is the spot I finished at, inspiring view to aim for ☺️

Well done you! Try and not be too worried around focus on breathing. Go slow, really slow, that's the point. If you can run and read this post without losing breath and then recite your phone number back-to-front, your breathing is fine. If not, you're going fast on this level. Don't worry, you'll speed up naturally as you get stronger.

Thankyou! I found that just being conscious of my breathing a bit more rather than just gasping (!) really helped and distracted me from waiting for the “now slow down” announcement on the app. I also slowed down in the running part from last week after reading the FAQS on here, that also helped. Onwards!

Don't worry, Mollie, you'll get there. My first run was a 60 second oxygen starved fight for life. A few years later l completed the marathon. Take your time and enjoy yourself! 👍

Well done. I have never gotten a grip with breathing techniques. What do you find best. The pic looks amazing btw.

Thankyou. It’s a lovely spot with special meaning to me. Re breathing, for me it was focussing trying to breath in through my nose and more deeply. I started the rhythm (if you can call it that!) in the warm up walk. Also as mrrun says above, slowing sown my running. Not that I was very fast, but I tried to be mindful of the speed I was setting each segment of at, that helped. Keep going and good luck! I felt fabulous when I was done!

Just relax and run, don't think about techniques, leave that to pros. You think kids think techniques when they run? Enjoy your running, that's the key! 👍
