Well I’ve just got in from week 5 run 1 (I had lots of excuses today not to go but I forced myself out and am very glad I did 😊) first run wasn’t pleasant but I remembered about the toxic 10 and carried on through the 2nd and I actually enjoyed the 3rd I felt I got into a rhythm again so that’s good!
Anyway I arrived home to find my daughter has tagged me in an Instagram challenge...run for heroes for NHS, run 5k donate £5 so I’m glad I’ve already started this programme as she’d have tagged me anyway and I would’ve provably killed myself trying to do it with no training 😱

My daughter tagged me in it today too.. and she said it’s ok to walk as well as run.. so a dog walk incorporating run 3 week 5 this morning -total 5.04km 🤸🏿♀️and it’s done for the NHS as far as I’m concerned..😊
Well done! It was a lovely evening for a run wasn’t it! Glad you managed it well as we’re ramping it up on every run this week... hopefully we’ll both manage them well as this feels like big progress now!
And yes do look up the toxic 10 it really helped me knowing about it... very basically it is that the first 10 mins of any run are horrible then it al gets better 😂
