I need some new running trainers but obviously I can’t go to a running shop for gait analysis. Anyone know anything I could do?

Anyone know what the best thing to do about getting new trainers is in lockdown?
If you read this post healthunlocked.com/couchto5... there is a link to a wet foot test, which is probably the second best in absence of gait analysis.
If you have access to a treadmill there are online video gait analysis sites, which you can find by searching.
The problem is going to be finding a good fit.
Somebody earlier suggested that Brooks and some other companies do a return basis sale which may be worth looking at.
SportsShoes.com also has a sale section with some decent bargains and a returns policy. 👍
I use sportshoes.com there is a pronation guide on the site and if you can get someone to video a run they will do a gait analysis.
I did some online research for mine, due to my weight I went with ones that give as much support as humanly possible 😂 They’re a bit more than I wanted to spend, but I figure it’s better to plan cautiously 🤷🏻♂️Anyway I purchased some Asics Gel Kayano 26 🤞🏻
Thanks for posting the question. I’m in the same position, so will take on all the advice you got in your replies. 👍😀
