hydration?

I have read several posts about this topic. Obviously the body needs water. But not everyone is the same. I do long walks , all day ski touring, climbing etc and always have water in my rucksack but rarely touch it. Similarly if I drink the recommended 0.5 litres before running it sloshes around in my stomach in an uncomfortable manner. Does anyone else agree that the common advice is over the top and can't apply to everyone?

Drink as much water that makes you comfortable, no need for it to slosh around in your stomach, just enough not to make your throat dry

If you’re drinking water throughout the day then it shouldn’t be a problem.

I usually start drinking water in smaller quantities/ sips an hour before working out rather than going for a bottoms up!

Steady hydration through the day works best for me, rather than a big amount before running. But I do down a lot over the 24 hours - easily the recommended 2+ litres. 😊
