Shin splints
you need to stop running everyday, the rest days are very important, they allow your body to repair itself... You have prob overdone it and now you need to stop and give your legs a rest.
The days you dont run are as important as the days you do run.
Oh dear - you know now that rest days really matter. (“Rest” means “not running” - it’s fine to walk, cycle, do yoga etc - just no impact sport.
Rest up & then be MUCH kinder to yourself! 😄

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Please take rest days. When you run, the impact creates microtears in your muscles, which repair and strengthen on your rest days, not while running. Without rest, repair and strengthening are compromised and injury risk increased.
Enjoy your journey.
Absolutely get better running shoes. My shin splints were hurting a lot by week 3 and then news trainers sorted it straight away basically. Also hamstring stretches
ummmm….don't run every day?
