Well on Monday I missed my very first run since starting in January (creature of habit, always ran Monday, Wednesday and Friday) I hurt my back while gardening at the weekend. So this morning, back still a bit sore but I thought “come on, you are making excuses!” So I went out with no expectations, told Alan “I’ll only be a few minutes” so I set off. Sun was almost shining and it was pleasantly warm. I took a slightly different route that goes into the forest away from the main pathway. I was all alone just trees, a few rabbits and even 3 deer 🦌 in the distance across the field that borders the forest. I kept running. I did 25 minutes before looking at my watch, took off my light sleeved top as it was getting quite warm and ran another 10 minutes.
I was amazed when I looked at Strava, only saved the first 25 minutes but it was an average of 7:30 per Km which given it was on quite rough terrain and over some hilly bits I was really pleased.
Looking forward to Friday now!
