WK6R3 has been bagged and I am now the proud owner of a virtual badge that says I am a runner šš»āāļøšš»āāļø
I absolutely loved this run š I was awake at 5:50am, perhaps because I was excited about running, but decided to wait till 6:20am as it was still quite dark outside. So, I had a cup of tea, half a banana and I gave myself a right good talking to about how I can and will do this run!!
Started off with my warm up walk, and then it came, the trepidation about whether I could do this or not!! Well, I listened to all you wise people and I took it slower and steadier than I have ever done and low and behold before I knew it Mr Smooth was telling me that I only had 5 more minutes left to run. I decided to up my pace just a little and carried on till the end running a little faster than I normally would but oh man, did it feel good?!! Hell, yes!!
I ran today for 25 minutes. 25 minutes. I ran. Nonstop. 25 minutes.
To all you beginners, middlers and enders, thank you for your support so far, it has been very much appreciated!!
Have a good Thursday whatever you're up to and I'll see you all in Week 7!! Yay!!

Oh I needed to see this post! I did week 6 run 1 this morning and despite feeling I smashed week 5 I struggled. You have given me renewed hope to plough on through week 6.
Thank you and I'm glad I could be of help. I've received so much help and hope from people on here so it's wonderful to give something back. Keep on running and you'll be amazed what you can achieve!!
You're not alone, Week 6 is infamous! I struggled a lot with the first 2 runs yet managed run 3 relatively easily (by comparison!) Make sure you take it slow and you'll be fine āŗļø
Now then!! The beginning of the end of the program!! A new challenge! Now NEXT WEEK, Runner, begin to think about how to make this YOUR program. You have three more weeks of more or less boring runs to do, 25 minutes, 28 minutes, and 30 minutes. Nine runs, in which you get incrementally better but your brain is free to wander. I attached myself to a new app so that I get chased by zombies, but I reckon you'll want a new playlist or a new route or whatever to keep your brain occupied.
Go girl!!!! Can you believe how far you've come??? You are DEFINITELY on the home straight now Kimchoc!!! You will be able to smell the polish soon as they get your badge ready....well done to my fellow runner!!! šš¼āāļøšš¼āāļø š
Thank you š Your words during my running life have been a great source of inspiration. Take a pat on the back for all the encouragement you've given me x
Well done. You're a run ahead of me, 25 mins sounds scary. Im doing R2 tonight after a hard Pilates class last night. But hey I must be able to do it, I've been following the program and doing as Laura says š
Course you can do it!! If I can, anyone can. Slow and steady is how I approached WK6 and today was even slower and steadier than normal. I thought of the running as I've only got to run for 7 songs and that seemed to get me through it!! Let us know how you get on tonight šš»āāļø
Yay Well Done You, I know exactly how you feel. I am tempted to try Mr Smooth as Sarah keeps going funny but will stick with her for week 7 if I can. I'm following you now (on here only, promise I won't jump out from behind a hedge or anything) especially as we are at the same stage and you are quite local to me. So keep posting x
Fantastic work! I loved the way you figured out the run was just seven songs, I'll try that approach when I get to W6R3 next week. Enjoy the elation, you runner! š
Makes the run go quicker in my opinion but I've had to stop singing out loud as I can't take in enough oxygen and sing at the same time!! Tried that once and very nearly regretted it!!
