So glad to have found this support site ! Plucking up courage for R3 of 25 mins as R2 this week of 2x10 seemed REALLY hard with lead legs . Battered my confidence a little ! Should I repeat it or just dig deep and do the R3 ? Also am intrigued what leggings or running gear people use - do proper running leggings NOT fall down !!? 😁

I repeated the 2x10 three times before moving on to the 25 minute run. Still finding the long runs really hard. I wear Under Armour running leggings, they fit great, don't fall down at all!

Hi. If you completed the 2 x 10 runs of w6r2 you should continue to w6r3. The plan is progressive and prepares you for the next run. You only need to repeat a run if you are not able to complete it. Trust in yourself and the plan. You can do it. Take it nice and slow at a steady pace. Make sure you are well hydrated and off you go πŸ˜ŠπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ! Good luck ☺️

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Heavy legs can be symptomatic of poor hydration. As a runner you need to drink 2.5 -3 litres of fluid each and every day, as mentioned in the guide.

Enjoy your journey.

Each week I started with a β€˜how on earth can they expect me to do this...?’ and yet each time I managed it. I’m amazed at the structure of the program and how it really does seem to work. I think a repeat is fine cos confidence is important ... but maybe going for it is even more confidence building :) It’s surprising what we can do!

Leggings ... I splashed out on Sweaty Betty Power Leggings. It was my birthday- have to say I really like them, they don’t come down and they have a great thigh pocket for my phone and a zip pocket in the rear of the waistband to take my keys, asthma inhaler and tissue. Just what I needed!

Well done for getting this far. Some runs are just tough, but tough runs make us tougher! Perhaps try some warm up exercises before You go out - they really help me overcome the lead legs - plus lots of water!

Yes, running leggings do stay up - just buy the high waisted ones!
