Now I’m a runner (ha ha can’t believe I’m saying that), I’d like to get some running leggings.
Up until now I’ve been wearing jogging bottoms and t-shirts which are fine under cover of darkness, but the evenings are getting lighter and I look a bit scruffy.
I was thinking of going to Decathlon. Are their running leggings/tights any good?
Any recommendations welcome 😀
I buy all of my running gear second hand from Ebay... if you are watching the pennies its a great way to buy them. I recommend adidas climacool, sweaty betty, Lululemon, gore ( really robust), Nike are OK but I dont like them sitting below my waist and their's tend to do that. I tend to stick to these brands as they are trustworthy and a good fit. Happy shopping 
I really like Sweaty Betty running leggings. They are £££s but if you buy in the sales you can grab a bargain.
I’ve just bought Sweaty Betty. They were in the sale and had a further 20% off which is the only way I can justify buying them. But, they are supportive, bum lifting and have a great phone pocket. My first pair have lasted ages.
all my stuff comes from decathlon - including my shoes
they have been washed and washed - they're hanging in there just fine.
I have the ones with one thigh pocket and one back waistband pocket (useful for phone), both pockets zip up

Sturdy by Design are my firm favourites, depends if you like funky designs though ( I do). If you do try them my advice is size up, unless you are at the lower end of a size group.
Warning....they are a bit addictive 😬

I haven't been there but T K max do some great sports gear if you don't mind a root. They do good online stuff but I never know sizes so prefer to go. Have fun. 😎👍

Thank you very much to everyone who replied. I’ve made a note of all those brands. I’m definitely a plain leggings person (although I am tempted by the Sweaty Betty animal print leggings). I think I’ll start with Decathlon while I’m getting used to leggings and go from there 👍
I have 2 pairs of sweaty betty leggings, one new, one old from 5 years ago when I made an initial hopeless attempt at the programme. The only thing I would say is the ones I have are a bit thick and grip my (quite large) thighs a bit too much! If you have slimmer thighs they might be ok, but they are pricey!
Not a problem as I definitely do not have slimmer thighs!!!
My only experience is of what not to buy. One of our running group has a rather exposing experience during our post run stretching when the seam of a cheap pair of leggings from the market gave way. That is not something that I want to experience and so will be seen giving any leggings a good 'stretch test' on the seams before purchase.
I have not yet gone for a named brand but may treat myself having just completed the C25K plan on Friday. I will keep an eye on this post for advice too.
P.S. One further piece of advice to anyone that does risk very cheap leggings is not to 'go commando' as that added to the trauma (ours not hers!!!).

Whatever you get, make sure they have a secret pocket and a draw string. Leggings without are useless for running 😂 Try tikkiboo.
