Anyone else found the first run hard?

First “run” completed. That was hard! Even though I play golf and tennis and do pilates I have never been able to run. I always give up due to lack of time. Not got that excuse now! But found that first one hard. Anyone else?

Yes the first one was hard. Just make sure you’re not going too fast. All the advice is slow down. It definitely helps to go slower. I’m nearly at the end now, so I’m running for 30 minutes and I never thought I would reach this stage, so keep going

Thanks will go slowly (no choice really!). Running for 30 mins is amazing!

I think most find it hard to begin with, no gloss it is hard, you don't get fit and healthy by things being easy, I think you may find that the mental training is more important than the physical, get your head right and you will find it easier, stay positive, I could not run for toffee before C25K and three months ago was where you are now, last week I did 40 minutes straight. You will see major changes happen quickly, you will get a buzz after some runs, deflated after others, it is about the journey, keep up with this forum, there are some great experts on here with great advise, I found this forum great for lifting me when struggling and genuinely happy when things go well. You have started carry on and feel the joy off overcoming things you never thought you could.

Yep the first was the hardest. Definitely. But it gets easier. I couldn’t run for 1 minute without stopping 4 weeks ago and now I can run for 8 minute stints. Keep going, this programme really does work 👍🏼

Hello... I've just started and did week 1 run 1 today! I'm doing it with my dog Poppy who runs with a lot more ease than her owner 😂. I'm not a natural runner but am chuffed I've completed it!

I was very out of breath but the recovery bits in between did give me chance to get my breath back before going again!
