Just remembered how much harder cross country running is compared to road running. Did 5K on Wednesday and 3k yesterday in glorious running weather in Kent. Having not been off road since last autumn it was tough. 30+ seconds/km slower and lower on km/hr but enjoying running though the fields and along the river instead of the county lanes and round the village.
Stay safe out there everyone, stay calm and keep on running! 🏃♀️🏃♂️😁😁

I know, and it is very dry all of a sudden so ruts and tractor tire marks make life difficult. Run Xcountry regularly in the nicer weather and always know it will be 3 to 5 minutes slower on PB depending on which route I take. As we live in a valley under the North Downs often running up hill.
I can’t wait to get out on the peaks here this year... but lockdown is going to be stopping that for a little while at least... some lovely grass and hill work should do wonders for my tarmac running. Pretty frustrating being able to see the hills from home but not visit them!
We shall do a rain dance for you so you can flatten some of those ruts next time out! It’s getting to the time of year where a little rain is really refreshing too.
