I'm in week eight and loving it, I'm past the real pain I feel and enjoying the exercise now. No weight loss and at 12 minute miles feel like I'm very slow but maybe that will improve?

Speed will come naturally as you get more miles on your legs.
Don't worry about it at the moment, stay at a comfortable easy conversational pace.

Doing better than me, I'm at 13 minutes per mile. 😛 I can't even begin to get my head around Sir Roger doing a 4 minute mile!!!

12 minute miles rock. I’ve been running for a couple of years and when I’m in training I aim for 36 minutes over 5k... so I’m often found running about your pace.
Pace will quicken a little all by itself over time... there are ways of speeding that process up, but these are for a little after the plan... and the olympics have been postponed so there’s no rush.
