First time out for a run this week, I've been walking every day with my husband instead, but today is my birthday and I don't think I've ever missed a birthday run. The sun was shining, it was warm, there was no wind (can't remember that last time I said that) Just an easy 5K around one of my favourite routes, along the Backs of all the colleges, and home along a parallel road.
This is one of the last punts remaining on the Cam, most of the others were moved to dry dock further up the river last weekend.
I only saw other runners. and they all kept the 2 MT rule, moving over into the road if they needed to, that was ok, there's almost no traffic.

The photo reminded me that for some unfathomable reason I always, always, wanted to try those Punts since seeing them first about 45 years ago.
For a less unfathomable reason I would also like to Punt and have a gorgeous lady recling in it, complete with Parasol and languid trailing of fingers in the flowing water while reading poetry.
If we all survive this damn virus - I can borrow a Pint, and would your husband let me borrow you and a poetry book for some sunny afternoon?
Seriously though - wishing you another year of happy miles (and gorgeousness
Yes, I'm sure he would John, his own one and only attempt at punting ended up with him getting the pole tangled in an overhanging tree, he got catapulted into the water with some force!! It was hysterical, I was laughing too much to help him! Doubt he'll be trying that again in a hurry!
What a fabulous picture, on a fabulous sunny day, for a fabulous birthday girl, happy birthday matey, ๐ฅ๐พ๐๐๐ฅณ hope youโre having some treats today ๐ค
Ha ha, no! I've just had garlic prawns, had to eat them in the dining room on my own, he hates fish of any kind! Except fish and chips of course! I'm not a big celebrator, I've had a run, I'm happy xx
