Loving the sunshine!

Keeping positive.... which is made so much better with this glorious weather! Spent the day yesterday deweeding my garden and treating the lawn - bring on the summer!

I skipped run day yesterday as I went on a walk Sunday and was aching. So today, I enjoyed a little jog down the country roads by my house and along the canal. Beautiful sunshine and fresh air.

Found it a little tough at times (absolutely not used to the heat from the sun!!), so had a few brief walks - and then kept going.

Not really sure how I’m going to progress to running further or longer. Seems like getting to that 5k mark is still a real challenge!

I wish there was a 9 week app for 10k, I seem to have such a mental barrier to being able to stretch it out on my own! Weird!

Hope everyone is looking after themselves and keeping safe 💜

The sun does make a difference and you need to have a few runs in it to get used to it.. But you sound like you enjoyed it and that's the main thing 😊

Enjoy your evening..

Well done, look lovely and nice and peaceful. Have you been over the the Bridge to 10k forum? There’s a magic plan that many people follow created by -ju-ju. It can be time based, or distance based. Might be worth a look 😁

Lovely picture. Try the Nike running club app. It's got some great runs and tips on it

It takes a while before you get used to running without the program, I have tried a few things but have settled on podcasts. I can now run 5k quite comfortably but slowly so I have started doing more of these and left the 30 minute runs behind (mostly) My 5k time can be anything between 36 and 41 minutes and is improving all the time, so just be patient, you will get there :-)

I'll give another vote for the Nike app, it might be just what you are looking for and has a lot of different coached programs with constant dialogue and your own music.

You have put me in the mood to go outside tomorrow, nice one! 😀 👍
