Week 7 Run 1 survived

Sun was shining, blue sky, fresh air, perfect, but this was a tough run. Took me sooo long to get going and I felt like I was even slower today ... if that’s possible 🤔 I was struggling, everything seemed to ache 😩

Suddenly and thankfully Jo spoke to me and said well done you are half way ... take a look around you, distract yourself. So I looked up, I noticed a robin flying along the hedge with me (was someone looking over me?) and I kept bumping into two magpies, obviously sending me joy, and before I knew it the run was done ✅

Run 2 awaits ....

Great job. Some runs are pretty easy... that’s obviously a good thing... but it’s the tough runs that test us and push us. Running is at least half mental, probably more, and tough runs build that mental strength just like all runs build the physical strength.

Tough runs come every now and then... but today this one got its butt kicked by a tougher runner. The next run is usually much smoother... enjoy.
