W8R1 To be repeated!

Terrible run today....as I knew it involved 28 mins running I took today off so I could have a lie in beforehand, plenty of rest I thought......bad idea as I think my body was then in relaxation mode and when I started the run it kind of thought ‘what you doing’ and rebelled. I caught site of my reflection in a car window lumbering along and thought I’m absolutely exhausted, Jo’s cheery voice came on and said your half way through! and I thought I’m spent! I ended up walking the rest of the way, which I’ve never done before. Oh well, just an off day, we all get them, fresh start early Monday morning, I know I can do this, I’m going to repeat that run, can’t give up now I’ve come to far. I think it’s important to share the bad runs as well as the good as we all get them. Anyway good luck to everyone running today 👍

It's never wasted, none of it. Don't reproach your self. I had the same experience on W8 R3 today; will write a post later on :)

It's all ok! :D

Yep, I’m still positive, can’t do well every time 👍 I’ve done 25mins 3 times so I’m sure I can do 28 😀

Your right we all get them, a practice run, but they still help to build up stamina. Enjoy the rest of your day off, and I’m sure you’ll be fine on Monday 👍😁

Yeah I like that...a practice run to build up my stamina.....thanks for that 👍 I know I can do 25mins as I’ve done it 3 times, so 28 is achievable.....thanks for your support Wenderwoo

I’ve got to admit I’ve found week 8 really tough, I wonder if as we are not seasoned athletes we could have a bit of cumulative fatigue, I’m looking forward to a 2 day break now in the hope that I can complete W9 next week

Cumulative fatigue....could be right, you’ve done brilliantly reaching week 9, I take my running hat off to you well done and all the very best for week 9.....graduation is in sight

Those last weeks are pretty intense aren't they - perhaps have a couple of 2 day breaks to regenerate. At this stage you won't lose motivation!
