Sadie-runs suggested I try some intervals in my consolidation runs, so today I gave it a go.
As per her suggestion, I used the Speed episode of the C25K+ podcast for this. My first time doing intervals and although it was fairly tough (especially the few hilly parts π ) it was great to mix it up and do something different and vary the pace a little.
Iβm planning to incorporate these intervals in to one of my three consolidation runs over the next 5 or 6 weeks.
The other two weekly runs at the mo are a longish easy run for 35-40 mins, and a park run or other 5k run.
Interested to hear what others are doing for their consolidation runs.
Happy running all πββοΈπββοΈπ

This is interesting. Iβm just doing the same 30 minute run at the mo, but might give this a try. It might help my pace to improve and I might even get to running 5k one day π
I would like to eventually do Ju-Juβs magic plan - the time version, not distance though.
I thought Iβd give it a go, as I really wanted something a little different and to experiment with pace too. This fits the bill nicely.
Iβve only recorded the running part in the screenshot above, the only things missing are the 5 min warm up and 5 min warm down so the whole thing is only 26 mins. These are included in the podcast, so you can press go as soon as youβre ready to start your 5 mins warm up walk. Thereβs also music πΆ and some encouragement and running tips on the podcast.
Yes Iβm also hoping to start ju-ju- magic 10 k plan in May.
