After a couple of ‘meh’ runs I thought I’d mix things up a bit, so I chose the ‘lunch time’ guided run on the NRC app and headed out around 12 noon (avoiding dark runs at the moment if I can help it). The run was only 25 minutes, so not quite the full 30 minutes I should be consolidating but I had to fit it in around work meetings this afternoon so oh well.

However, I’m very thankful it was a 25 min run in the end as I definitely would have struggled to keep going for another five!! I just felt so tired today... but I’m glad I managed to complete it nevertheless. I’ve also got a slight niggle in my right knee at the moment so think I’m going to take a few days break to rest it as I don’t want to end up injured. Fingers crossed I’ll be back, fully rested and ready for a good gazelle run for my next consolidation - chasing after that runners high as I haven’t had it for a while now!!

Great that you managed to get away from your desk for even 25mins! That’s about 24mins and 30sec longer than I’ll manage today.

Take care of your knee. Better to listen to your body than push it too hard.

Thanks Bostonlandy! I will, going to take a few days off running and see how I am after that - I haven’t left longer than 1 or 2 days inbetween runs since I started C25K so think I just need a rest ☺️

That’s a good idea to have a few days resting your knee and then you can come back all fresh and gazelle like- I’m going to do the same if I have another run like yesterday’s when I run next- deliberately going to leave an extra day so I can be fully rested and can have a Saturday morning run which is usually easier after not being work. Enjoys your rest!

That’s the plan! The longest break I’ve taken in between runs since starting C25K is two days so I’m going to rest up and see how I am after that 🦌🤞🏼

Enjoy your Saturday run! Weekend runs are definitely my favourites.

I have a nasty knee, arthritis and patellofemorral issues. I always always strap the knee with tape and ice as soon as I finish stretching, fingers crossed it's been ok so far. Well done on getting out, that's the important thing.

Sorry to hear about your knee issues! Thankfully mine is just a bit tight at the moment and nothing too bad but hoping rest will fix it!! Hope your runs are going okay despite your knee ☺️

Sorry to hear it wasn’t a gazeller, LR. But sounds like you need to rest your knee. The break should also help you to return with fresh energies.

🦌🦌🦌 need to replenish sometimes. They’ll be back!

I hope so! Haven’t had longer than a 2 day break since starting the C25K so hopefully a few days rest will help ☺️ 🦌

Well, I suppose any run, whatever the time and distance, is a bonus, and having to fit it in between work, probably didnt help. There seems to be alot of meh runs, going on, at the moment! 😂
