First Anniversary Jog

I finished my 52nd week this morning having taken the best part of the year realising that my goal was to keep on keeping on despite setbacks (no speed goals) and so I got to an average of two and a half runs a week that were enjoyable. Fate not intervening of course, if Mr No-Will-Power (me) can do it, then anyone can. My trick is to start the ritual of preparing to run when I don't feel like it and once I'm ready, then I go out listening to a good play list on autopilot. After that and a self-congratulatory pat on the back after and it's 'job done'. Main benefit? For me it's feeling generally much more flexible & energetic, sleeping better and (surprisingly) almost illuminating osteo arthritis pain in my hips. And so . . . to anyone struggling, keep it up - you can do it.

You don’t have to be purr-fect. Just try to purr-severe :-)
