What to eat before morning runs?

Just a question for you morning runners out there. I find that my best runs come from evening runs after I’ve eaten all my meals for the day. On recent weekends I’ve been running early in the day knowing that most Park Runs are at 9AM and that is my current goal. I find I don’t have the same energy in the morning as I do in the evenings. I do make sure I eat before I go out but I feel like I need to do better what I can be eating in a morning before running. Any suggestions ?

Two digestive biscuits... a cup of tea..abut 40 minutes before anything up to 10K ; that has been my routine for the last four years... but other folk need more ... all depends what suits you!

It is very personal.

I would never eat anything other than a banana before a morning run, even up to 10k, while others have a bowl of porridge or even more.

My parkrun is at 9.30 as I'm in Scotland and at 7.30 I have 2 weetabix . Works for me 😊😊

Two slices of toast for me about an hour before I run. Did run on Friday without eating (I forgot!!) but by the time I was on the final push (I’m doing 25 minutes now) felt a little bit flat.

A banana. Overnight oats when I get back.
