Don’t know what to do ? Run dat today but on training course then out tonight so either put off till tomorrow or go in next hr . I’ve not run early morning before . Do I eat before I go or drink water ??? Or when I get back ? I’ve been having v tight hurting legs in middle of the night after last two runs ( both evening runs ) . Seems to be more to think about ?

I’m always a very early morning runner as I don’t have time anywhere else in the day. We will all be different but I once made the mistake of going out on an empty stomach and got very shaky legs half way through. Now I eat a banana and a glass of water before then run, then shower then sit down to a lovely bowl of porridge
I’m running at 9. Eating one hour before.
I dont eat before early runs. Have a drink and go. You should hydrate well the day before a run rather than thinking drinking immediately before the run will do it.

There is a lot more to think about when it comes to running, than most newbies realise and just being aware of that will make you a better runner.

I have a pint of fluid and half a banana before a 5k morning run and a whole banana for 10k. That works for me but Millsie-J's advice about hydration is crucial.
Thanks everyone for the advice . I had 1/2 banana & cup of tea - couldn’t manage without tea first thing , then bit of water . So lovely seeing the early morning views
