πŸ˜ŸπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ Well I completed Run 1 of Week 8 on Thursday, all fine! I have run faster than I ever thought possible πŸ˜€ I hit the gym yesterday & loved it - but close to the end of the session my back started aching... ☹ Woke up this morning with a very sore lower back! 😭 every time I bend or do anything it hurts... looks like run 2 will have to be delayed... how long should I wait?

wait until you are pain free, but try to keep flexible.

There is advice on dealing with injury in the guide to the plan.

Sorry about your back. Maybe you're trying to run too fast and it's disrupting your posture?

Perhaps try some yoga to ease your back (but of course I'm no physio!) and take your next run slower?

Yeah, I did feel strong enough to increase my speed during my last run but maybe I increased it a bit too much - although I felt great at the time!

Going to take it easy for the next two days and do some stretches to support my back, but I will definitely take my next run slower! πŸ˜€πŸ‘πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Maybe it is the visit to the gym that is causing the issue.

Planks and bridges build core strength to support your spine.

have a look on the Strength and Flex forum.

Sounds good il have a look at that! I did use an exercise ball to help support my back with squads & crunches. Il build myself up to the planks πŸ˜‘πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ
