True. I haven’t lose a pound. But do I care..........? Gained a couple of stones as my thighs now feel like rocks 😂🤣😂

I use Myfitnesspal, there is a progress section and as well as your weight you can enter various measurements which draws a graph over time.

I agree. I often comment in the NHS weightloss thread about not getting obsessed over bodyweight (I get a lot of disagreement, of course). But it's what you look like and feel like that matters. Bodyweight correlates poorly with bodyfat ratio unless you are obese.

That’s funny you saying that I noticed I hadn’t lost any weight on scales but I’ve definitely lost inches especially round my middle I definitely look more trimmer 👍

That's exactly my experience. 👍

So true, I used to weigh myself every month and the numbers were going down then there was a few times they hardly budged . Don't weigh myself anymore. 😊

I never weigh myself and don't own scales! I know someone who weighs themselves every day! Whilst I didn't take up running for weight loss, I do carry weight round my hips and have noticed I've lost a couple of inches off my hips. Feel so much stronger and that's the point of running - to go into my 60s fit and strong.

By the way, that fat looks horrid in the picture!

My experience is exactly the same. I decided I didn't want to be a plump, sedentary retiree and I didn't see why I should be any less able to change things than I was in my twenties.

The fat doesn't look pleasant, does it. I think the real problem isn't so much the stuff on the outside, it's the stuff that might be clogging up the internal organs. Hopefully, running helps with that too, although it's difficult to tell. 🤞

I started getting depressed as I didn’t seem to lose weight and I thought what’s the point. Then a trainer at the gym told me to take measurements of my arms, thighs, waist etc so I did 2 weeks later I’ve lost 2 inches off each area, he also said muscle weighs more than fat!!! Scales in the bin you go

First place I have noticed weight loss is in the face. But I have noticed my calf muscles now Looking far more toned! Now for the middle section of the body to carry on loosing inches!

Oh yes, same here! I look at old photos and I look like a hamster on steroids! I was told once that we lose weight from our extremities first. I don't know if that's true, or if it's just more noticeable.

Happy running !

I do weigh myself intermittantly because the running is part of a wider body positive plan, but there have been quite a few people at work who have commented on how slim my face looks (stomach still has some way to go!!!).

I think my arms and legs are also slimmer which is not good because they was nothing to them anyway :( but overall I'm feeling a lot better and happier with my body than I have done in a long time.
