Week 6

So that’s week six in the bag. Kept it slow and steady. Starting week 7 on Sunday. Nearly there now. Anyone else on week 6? How have you found it?

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 6, you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER, onwards and upwards to week 7. 😊 🏃🏾

Wow! Well done, and me too today! I might have to wait a bit because its minus 3 now and it may well too cold on Saturday to start week 7. But isn't it amazing to have got this far!

It was bloody hard work actually, but we can do it, we can, we can we can. :D

I’m on Wk 6 this week, just did first run but found it was a struggle tonight. I couldn’t really be bothered going out but I did and I’m glad I forced myself to go but I thought it would be really easy tonight after running continuously for 20minutes on Monday! I was so wrong, felt tired, sore leg, took a stitch and generally kept thinking I just wanted it to end! Hoping the next one feels better! I do feel good getting to this point and I’m telling myself how far I’ve actually come 😄

I completed run 3 of week 6 today too. Found it tough this week, especially run 1 for some reason?! Legs just didn’t want to do it. Was desperate to get to the walk which was disappointing as I’d managed the 20 minute run at the end of week 5 quite well I thought.

Really didn’t want to go with the cold weather and snow showers but so glad I did! It was tough but I guess all the previous runs had done the job because it was manageable. Would love to increase pace a bit in week 7 but we’ll see!

Well done to everyone on the journey!

How did you find it I just finished week5 starting week 6 on Saturday how was the first 25min run3 I’m feeling a bit anxious lol🤔

in reply toSummerlov

We ran for 17mins in week six it’ll be 20mins next week. I just kept my speed right down and relaxed. Ive found this my best way of getting through the increases each week. At this stage,I think it’s all about completion rather than speed. X

I have just started week 7. Was a bit anxious at the beginning but got through the first run and felt okay. Just take it easy, if you need to repeat a run of week 6 before starting week 7, go for it. Happy running 😄

I just finished week 6 this morning. I was apprehensive about running for 25 minutes but kept it slow and steady and actually quite enjoyed it. I don’t know about you but I’m actually starting to believe I can do it now! Well done you👍
