From sluggish to smashing it

Just completed week8run1 and feeling great!

I struggled with every run of week 7, felt like lead for every single run, and was slightly dreading this mornings run. But I found a new Spotify playlist (called don’t want to run run🤣) and I’ve just had the most glorious run round the park!!

Don’t know if it was my mental attitude, the lack of wind, the lightest of drizzle rain rather than a torrential downpour, the sun peaking through the clouds, or the espresso I had before I went, but whatever it was, I thoroughly enjoyed today’s run and just had THE most consistent and steady pace from start to end. Not had a run that consistent in pace yet!

Can’t wait for my next run now!! Whoop whoop!! :)

Well done that sounds like a brilliant run!

Oh wow babysteps that’s so good to hear. Good for us to realise struggling is a positive thing and worth all the effort, it’s where we grow, get fitter and stronger. We’re just half way through now and I’m so excited at reaching where you are at now.

Oh well done. Very inspiring. You star! Turning things round mentally is the best thing that can happen. You can forever remember that you did it and refer to it in the future should you not fancy a run. You are smashing this programme. Well done again. :-)
