Just did w4r1 and glad I managed it, although the 2nd 5mins was hard going. I did this programme before a couple of years ago and I don’t remember it being so mentally tough (perhaps the physical pain I was in then blocked it out - I’m now post gait analysis and in appropriate shoes).
Whenever MJ pipes in to tell me 1 min to go (in my brain) but then actually says ‘ you’re half way there’ I feel like crying 😖.
I used to be able to zone out but appear to have lost that ability again and am back to spending the whole run working out how much longer there is to go. Treadmill probably doesn’t help!
I do find the time goes quicker when he’s talking to me so I may try a podcast or iPlayer instead of music. What do other people find best?

I find it easier to run with a good tune running with the app. My dream team of MJ and Pete Tong get me round the course. I empathise with your mental battle. I think this is the hardest part. MJ today reminded me that I have run the distance before and today's test was not the run but the battle in my head. Persevere it will pay off🤩
Thanks - I’ve looked back on posts from this point last time and I felt pretty much the same so I will keep the faith that it will improve! I do run with music - it’s amazing how some tunes push you on!
