Hi everyone just saying hi. I have just finished week 7 run 3 and later today I shall be doing first run of week 8. When I started 90 seconds was so difficult. Can’t quite believe I’m running 25 minutes now feel so good afterwards. Just wish the wind would go away just adds to the difficulty. Bottom of my feet hurt afterwards so you think I need new trainers ? Or is it just my feet getting used to it.

Well done you! This wind and rain is getting tiring now !
How old are your trainers?

Welcome, and congratulations on your progress so far!
For your feet, you need proper running shoes. I recommend going to a specialist running shop where they assess you on a treadmill.
You are doing brilliantly, well done!
Now you are into your longer runs I think it would be wise to treat yourself to new trainers. See it as a reward for getting so far! A good running shop will do gait analysis and assess your running style to determine if you need a neutral or supported running shoe. It is a worthwhile investment to keep you running in comfort and the right shoe will fend off injury. Happy running 🏃♀️ 😊

Thanks for your advice I think it’s time for a new pair 👍🏃♀️

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Regarding your shoes, are you wearing good quality running shoes, preferably fitted after a gait analysis?
If not, then it is possible your shoes are to blame.
Enjoy your journey.

Hey there. Wellcome to the forum.
We at the same run. Next w8 r1 !!!!!
I skipped mine yesterday as I needed a break. My legs were hurting in yoga class but hoping to go for it today.
I’m also amazed that I am running 25min and feeling good after.
Good look with your run 🏃🏻♀️
We can do it!!!!
🏃🏻♀️🙌🏻🍀🤸♂️🤗

Hi, welcome. Agree with everything said about running shoes. Also, pay attention to how your foot strikes the ground. Try to land mid/forward on your foot and spring off from the ball. If you take your headphones out, listen to how your feet hit the ground. You shouldn't hear them 'slap'.
Good luck. 👍

Thanks for that I will try work that out although I have to concentrate a lot to get my breathing right 😂👍
