Felt like giving up half way through and it's only run 1. But I didn't and I actually feel really good about it. Looking forward to the next one on Monday now. Feeling determined!

Well done. The mental challenge is a big part of this and you've beaten it once, so you can do it again!

I remember this run well - probably the hardest in many respects. You’ve done it, so be proud of yourself 👍😁

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Slow down, you are going too fast.

How do I know?

Because everybody does.

Relax and enjoy your journey.

They're all right Sarah2706, the hardest bit is getting off the couch in the first place. Now do the mental battle to get you through the early weeks and you'll soon start to notice things change. You'll probably first notice that you're not as out of breath for so long, and the next run feels so much better than the last one.

Keep going, this programme is amazing.

I'm 50+ an only got off the couch in November, just keep going!

Well done for keeping on going and completing your first run. That determination will get you through 💪🏼

You've done the hardest part, well done for not giving up, I was the same on run 1 but trust me it'll get better from run 2, just keep it slow and steady and you'll do great 👍💪

Well done! That is the hardest run of all the course. Just rest and drink water regularly and a run at a time you’ll grt there. Well done!

When I did run 1 I kept thinking well running for 2 minutes is better than no running .... then 4 -1 minute runs is halfway ... before I knew it I'd done the running and was elated to be doing the 5 minute warm down. Then worried about being able to do it all again but I just have ... roll on day 3 👍
