I love my new watch!!! 😍 W8R3

Since I am getting near the end i treated myself to a Garmin 45s. And I love it!! And I am also so pleased, I thought I was slower this time around than when i was doing 5k before my ankle injury last October. But it seems I haven’t lost it!! Actually a bit faster. Not bad for a run after an hour class of yoga earlier this morning πŸ˜ŠπŸ§˜πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

I do need to figure out how set my watch to kilometres though. The app is but the watch is in miles despite showing each kilometre notification update as i run πŸ˜‚

Multiply the mile by 1.609 to get KM πŸ˜‰

It converts it to kilometre on the app on my phone but when i want to look at my current pace on my watch while running it is in miles πŸ˜‚ This i think happened with a watch software update a few days ago. The weather apps etc on my watch suddenly went imperial despite what my phone settings are. Just need to reset it for the next run ;)

I've got a garmin forerunner 35 so it might be different.

Go to:-

Settings

System

Units

Then it let's you choose miles or km.

Hope this helps

Now it gives a choice of metric or statute instead. It said i was metric already, so i selected statute, then back to metric again, and now it works fine. Thank you! 😊

Its great!! I have tiny wrists too, so the s version is just right 😊 As well as a running watch it tells me about my sleep patterns too! It is very clever.

My wrists are small - I've looked at Garmins for ages, but have often been put off by my sticks for wrists lol

Well mine are 165mm and i have to wear children’s bangles or they fall off πŸ˜‚

I've just had to go and measure my left wrist πŸ˜‚

174mm - I'd probably get away with the bangles, but I'd get some really odd looks.

Once you've got one you wander how you ever did without it🀣🀣

If it’s the same as mine, press the red β€˜run’ button top right on your watch. Scroll down to the bottom of the list get to β€˜settings’ (not to be confused with the first option Activity settings); scroll down to β€˜system’ and select; scroll to β€˜units’ and select; then select kilometres.

Ah cheers. I did that to reset the weather app. I have a feeling it will say kilometres already, but as i did before after the software update: change to miles then reset back to kilometres again. Then see if that works on my next run πŸ˜‚

Nice watch Sonia52 . The watches are great , I've had mine since july 2019 and wear it 24/7 .

Your running is great considering your ankle injury. Happy running 😊

I’ve been wearing it while i sleep, but i don’t trust wearing it in the shower let alone the bath yet πŸ˜‚ Park runs again soon! Well, when it stops raining. My Beeston one is flooded!! And many other local ones are flooded too...
