So, I felt SO much better today. No gremlins showed their faces or whispered in my ear. I ran on for a couple of minutes passed the 28, just because it felt totally comfortable.
Week 9 is now just the start of the next phase... I plan on running 30 mins at a time every other day for a few weeks/months...
I may investigate some alternative warms ups though, I find the 5 minute walk somewhat frustrating...
Thanks everyone for helping, advising, and commenting on the journey so far... it really does help. I find that I can come in here and prattle on about things in a way that I would never do in person. I guess it is knowing that almost everyone here has either walked the path, or is on it with you?

I don't understand why a 5 min warmup walk is so frustrating!
Before you run, perform dynamic stretches to warm up, but avoid static stretches, as they can cause injury.
Warming up before you run can help prevent injury and improve performance.
Incorporate walking, strides, and dynamic stretches such as lunges and leg swings into your prerun routine.
Once you’re ready to run, it’s tempting to shoot out the door at top speed, or forego a running warmup in the interest of saving time. But heading out of the gates at full throttle without a proper prerun warmup is a recipe for disaster: injury.
I know I should not doubt the programme… I just find the 5 minute walk at 6am, -2 degrees freezing!!! I would prefer to be doing some sort of warm up in the house before setting off for a run... Once I am running the temperature doesn't matter....
