Was tough tonight, massively tight right shin.

Any suggestions on what this might be caused by gratefully received. I’m thinking either my gait or my shoes but maybe a mix of both?

I struggled with tight calf’s in the first couple of weeks but that’s gone now and I’m a serious snail.

On the plus side I didn’t run out of lungs tonight which is a massive improvement.

Are you stretching before and after? My shins were awful first time round (long story, I’ve just posted if you’re interested!!) and found that incorporating stretches into my runs really helped. I also got decent trainers after having my gait assessed and whilst the cost made me inhale deeply (!), they were /are worth the investment!

Thanks, doing some stretching but could certainly do more. Think the trainers is my next move too.
