π A week since my last w5r2 I have finally managed to run W5r3.
It wasnβt sprightly, it definitely wasnβt pretty and it wasnβt much fun - until I finished π ! Feeling very proud of myself for digging in for the first toxic ten.
Storm Ciara has a lot to answer for π ! The new fence is now in, ready for Storm Denis ππ€πΌ..... Upside is that my upper body strength is improving significantly - must be all the fence building and the plankety plankathon!
Next week sees me take my trainers away from my lovely South Downs. Firstly to my home turf of Cheshire and then on up to the west coast of Scotland π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ . Iβve always wanted to run by the sea. Iβm sure itβll be blowing a hoolie π¨!
Feeling happy and grateful to be starting week 6 π. Enjoy your runs everyone ππββοΈ
Well done! Not every run is fun and pretty, but the end result is the same - a sense of accomplishment and a building block in your fitness. π You should be proud. π
Enjoy your βtourist runningβ. So many beautiful places to run in the UK, we are very lucky. I bet the west coast of Scotland will be beautiful π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ. And if itβs blowing a hoolie? Youβll just feel like a super hero! (Though do take care, avoid running where there are trees if itβs super windy). Happy running to you!
Iβm headed to my in-laws for half term. They live in Ayr so Iβm planning on running the coastal footpath down to Doonfoot and Alloway. Hoping for a nice view of Arran and Ailsa Craig. Used to walk my two westies on that beach years ago when we lived there a while. Itβs my bouncy cockapoo who chases the seagulls now π πΆ πΎ.
Thank you. π Hereβs hoping Storm Dennis blows itself out before Iβm next due to put on my trainers π!
Haha....definitely not pretty! Can vouch for this after my run today π toxic ten...is that what it is? I struggle with this too and find the second half of any run much easier. Enjoy your new routes xx

Thank you Mizogg. This is my first toxic ten of this round of C25k, so Iβve escaped lightly! I could feel it so I just slowed it right down to a slow snail π pace and determination and gritted teeth π¬ got me through!
Who needs sprightly and pretty? Who's watching? You did it and you're right to be chuffed!
Enjoy your break. We love the places in Scotland we've visited and I'm sure, as it's is Scotland that it will be blowing a hoolie so try to get it behind you and get in some PB's π€£
