Getting my shi** together

This will be my second attempt at C25K, this time round I am heavier but I’m smoke free. I’m trying to plan the best 3 days in the week that I can do this so I keep my routine (it’s heard I’m a full time working mummy with a little girl who has activities to fit round).

Well done for starting again, well done for being smoke free, me too.

Just think of it as half hour of time just for you and go slowly

Good luck

This is my second attempt. I work full time and often have late meetings. Advice from.the forum was to make my run days non negotiable and while that works on a weekend I do have to be a bit flexible during the week. My progress has been slow but I do what I can when I can. Don't beat yourself up give yourself time and you'll develop a habit. Good luck 🤞

Smoke free is fantastic and will make a difference, I'm sure! 😁

Very well done you for giving up smoking and getting back onto the C25K horse again. I run first thing in the morning as it's the only way I can fit it in with the rest of my life, I just get up about an hour earlier than I would have done, go out and do it, recover, and then it's time to start my normal day. To also fit in around other things, Monday, Wednesday & Saturday are my regular running days and I'm trying to make that into an automatic habit, so that I run on those days, whatever the weather and however I feel (with certain exceptions). If I feel ill or am in pain, then I won't go out (so far this hasn't happened, but now I've said that...) The other exception I've allowed myself is horrendous weather, I'm doing C25K for a number of reasons, but one of them is to enjoy doing it. I managed to get out last Saturday before the storm really hit where I live, but into Sunday it was still bad, so I made the decision not to go out on Monday. (An added bonus for making this decision early was that I could have an extra couple of glasses of wine that evening! As I said, I still want to enjoy myself.) Then, when I went out on Wednesday I seemed extra refreshed, so I think it did me good to treat myself to those extra rest days. I think that this weekend will be the same story with another storm heading our way, but so what? I'm not putting myself under any silly pressure to complete this in a certain length of time, I want to complete it, I will complete it, but at my own pace and trying to enjoy every step of the way. (Actually that's tight, I want to enjoy literally every step of the way!). Good luck to you & your progress through the C25K adventure, let us know how you get on.
