The end of the intermittent running...

Well that’s it, week 6 run 2 done.

Definitely wasn’t feeling keen to go out this morning, I’d just finished nights and felt more inclined to doze off to sleep, but I forced myself out, wrapped up warm and feel 10 x better for going. Definitely needed the woolly hat though - beautiful day but that wind was nippy!

This also means no more walking breaks for me then!! I feel equally nervous and excited about the longer runs I think. A little bit scared not to have the safety net of a short break around the corner, but looking forward to challenging myself that little bit more each run and improving over the next couple of weeks! Let’s see if I’m still feeling this optimistic after run 3!! 🤣

Aww I’ve been feeling exactly the same! For me to have even a minutes walk mid way round was such a psychological thing, and wasn’t sure I’d make it without a break at all, especially after the uphill bits, but I’ve just completed wk6run3 with no problems. I just slow right down when I feel I need to walk, even tho I think I’m going at a snails pace! Also took my woolly hat today, but quite enjoyed the little nod of respect I had from a fellow runner also braving the conditions this morning (it’s been snowing here!) so a bloody well done to you for getting out there and I’m so pleased ur feeling optimistic, may it continue all day :-)

Aw amazing, sounds like you’ve done so well! Glad it’s not just me that gets nervous about these runs 🥴 hopefully it’s onwards and upwards and we can both be graduates together in a few weeks!!
