C25k take3 wk5r2

I felt a bit of a fraud up to this morning because I have been advising people on how to cope with wk5r3, having done it myself before and beyond, but this time round I have had a mental block on run2!!! I’d talked myself out of it every day since Sunday.

Then today I just got up and went, listened to my own advice, took it slow and steady and I did it. Funnily enough Fridays run 3 doesn’t bother me.

Well we’ll see what I feel like on Friday!!🤣🤣

Today was really crisp and frosty and, for the first time this winter I wore a buff up around my head to keep it warm. Usually I am halfway round and I end up tying my jacket round my waist but not this morning. It WAS 3 degrees though so fair enough.

The river looked absolutely beautiful in the sunshine and I am so glad I went out. Must remember that feeling when I drag myself from my warm nest on Friday morning.

Well done to everyone who ran today and good luck to the others who will join me on wk5run3 on Friday

Well done and I hope you enjoy run 3 on Friday morning too.

I did that run last week, and to my surprise it was my favourite run so far.

Lovely picture too 👍

Well done 😊

I love getting out of bed to run 🏃 not at all like me, but that's how it is since I started c25k 😁

I think it sets me up for the day - when you've done your run, anything is possible - well maybe not anything, but it feels like it for a while 😂

Remember that feeling when you don't want to get out of bed on Friday!!

Lovely photo by the way ☺

I love getting out early in the summer but not so much when it’s cold

I'm looking forward to the summer, it feels like if I've run through the winter, anything else has to be easier 😁

Mmmm maybe ..I struggle when it’s hot though and end up running at 5am to avoid the heat.

Yeah I’m just getting used to it again after not running for 3 months. I’d forgotten how much I enjoy it along the Tarka Trail.

Well done! I did w5r2 this morning and surprised myself by enjoying it and running an extra minute at the end of the second run... Fingers crossed that bodes well for the twenty minutes on Friday! 😂

How did you get on? First ten minutes here were horrible but I kept going and *almost* enjoyed the last five! 😂

Well done for pushing on through the mental block. Now you can feel smug for the rest of the day! And beautiful pic, what a great view.

I AM feeling smug and I’ve done loads since I got home too. I always find a morning run sets me up for the day. Mind you I could have done without Feathergate!!! (My cats protest at having to wait for their breakfast. ) they went out for takeaway. Judging by the amount of feathers all over my downstairs rooms I think they caught and ate a turkey!!!! 😡
