W6R2 - Mental games

So, I didn't run in my normal window (6am) and went out at 8pm instead. I had a tiny corner of my mind (which is aware that from now on, there are no more walking breaks) telling me to run through the walk if I could....

Well, I completed the first 10 minute run, and could NOT carry on... I needed the walk.

When I got to the end of the run, I was pretty exhausted, and tbh slightly demoralized. I was filled with doubts about my ability to complete W6R3 on Tuesday... Then I looked at Strava, and found out that I had been running quite a lot faster than usual..

I use a belt to contain my phone when running, and never look at it from pressing 'go' on the app to the end, when I click stop on Strava.. I had no idea I was pushing faster than normal, and just thought I was struggling with the change of time...

Anyway, feeling a bit better about things now - just need to make sure I go a bit slower on run 3, and I'm sure I will make it fine...

It's a weird thing, this C25K.... it seems that there are no 'normal' weeks to this point... every week has new challenges, new ups and downs, new mental obstacles to crawl over... It has become something which consumes a large part of my life, despite only taking up 30ish minutes every other day.....

Well done, you're working your way through this! I am certain that for me at least, the biggest part of the C25K challenge is mental not physical. Even when I wantb to stop because I'm out of breath, that's only my mind telling me that!

Running does that, it sneaks up on you and you find yourself planning the next one and reflecting on the last one, you are doing great
